Robin has chosen the dialogue-free horror comedy Aaaaaaaah!. Directed by Steve Oram, the film features a cast of top British comedians such as Julian Barratt, Toyah Willcox, Julian Rhind-Tutt, Alice Lowe and Noel Fielding
Sam and Robin discuss the music by King Crimson ProjeKcts, Norwegian comedy, Jane Goodall and showing the film to higher primates at the Royal Albert Hall.

In episode 70 Sam is joined by film writer and director David Lowery (The Green Knight, The Old Man and the Gun, Pete's Dragon)
David has chosen the 1973 experimental sci-fi animation Fantastic Planet (71 mins), directed by René Laloux and written by Laloux and Roland Topor.
Sam and David discuss the perfect movie run-time, Fantastic Planet's distinct animation style and question whether the film would be better on psychedelics.
David's latest film, The Green Knight, is available to stream or watch in cinemas now.

Sam and Jake discuss how they got into podcasting, how Steven Spielberg booked his first directing gig, planning the perfect on screen car chase and swing by the Snake-o-Rama.

Harry has chosen Kelly Reichardt's Old Joy (76 minutes). This 2006 American road movie is based on Jonathan Raymond's short story and stars Daniel London and Will Oldhman (Bonnie "Prince" Billy).
Sam and Harry discuss how they both discovered Kelly Reichardt's films whilst working at a cinema, how Old Joy inspired Supernova and how Harry can't leave home without listening to the film's Yo La Tengo score.
Supernova is in cinemas now, and stars Colin Firth and Stanley Tucci.

Sam spoke to Happy as Lazzaro director Alice Rohrwacher about her latest film, Four Roads (Quattro Strade). At just 8 minutes long, it was shot over lockdown on 16mm film and looks at how her neighbours explored alternative forms of contact during the pandemic. Four Roads is available to stream now on MUBI.
