Ira has chosen Roberto Rossellini's Journey To Italy (86 minutes). The 1954 drama stars Ingrid Bergman and George Sanders.
Sam and Ira discuss lockdown film projects, how Journey To Italy has inspired Ira's filmmaking and why it wasn't his first choice for the festival.

Suzanne has chosen Charlie Chaplin's 1921 classic, The Kid (53 minutes). The film co-stars a young Jackie Coogan.
Sam and Suzanne discuss the thrill of Spring Blossom being selected for the Cannes Film Festival, how Suzanne fell in love with Charlie Chaplin at a young age and the excellent child performance from Jackie Coogan.

Sam spoke to Happy as Lazzaro director Alice Rohrwacher about her latest film, Four Roads (Quattro Strade). At just 8 minutes long, it was shot over lockdown on 16mm film and looks at how her neighbours explored alternative forms of contact during the pandemic. Four Roads is available to stream now on MUBI.

Francis has chosen The Kid With A Bike (87 mins) by Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne. Released in 2011, the film won the Grand Prix at the Cannes film festival, and stars Thomas Doret and Cécile de France.
Sam and Francis discuss making his new film Ammonite, how much the Dardenne's film style has influenced his own, and how Francis would love to make an under 90 minute film one day.
